MPG Books Ltd
Statement of Environmental Policy
We recognise that in our day-to-day operations we inevitably impact on the environment in a number of ways. We will endeavour to manage and minimise any potentially harmful effects of our business activities on the environment wherever and whenever possible.
MPG Books Ltd will foster an understanding of environmental issues arising from its business processes amongst its employees, suppliers, contractors and customers.
As part of our continuing drive for quality in everything we do, we have developed an environmental management system to enable us to set objectives and targets for continual improvement by which our efforts towards sustainable environmental practices can be measured and monitored on a regular basis.
In particular MPG Books Limited will:-
Review our environmental policy annually and publish it on our website – www.mpg-books.com. We will actively promote open discussions with all stakeholders in relation to environmental matters.
Ensure our environmental policy is consistent with our policies on quality and health and safety.
Ensure environmental awareness amongst all our employees and provide sufficient levels of training to allow them to meet their and our environmental responsibilities.
|
Ensure delivery, use, storage and disposal of chemicals, raw materials and wastes are carried out in such a way so as to prevent pollution and minimise the risk of pollution to air, land and water.
Use only competent, authorised contractors to dispose of hazardous waste.
Commit to waste minimisation and recycling activities and the more efficient use of energy and natural resources within the organisation.
Strive to only purchase raw materials from either certified or controlled sources.
Meet, and where reasonably practicable, exceed the requirements of all applicable regulations and environmental legislation.
